As you gain elevation, the landscape opens to reveal an extraordinary natural amphitheater surrounded by dramatic granite peaks and hanging glaciers. Enjoy panoramic views of Paine Grande and the surrounding mountains while listening for the distant rumble of ice breaking from the glaciers above.
After taking in the scenery, return to the main W Trek trail and continue your journey through the park.

This section of the trail crosses exposed terrain, where Patagonia’s famous winds and vast landscapes become part of the experience.
Continue through native coigüe forests, keeping an eye out for the diverse birdlife and wildlife that inhabit the park. As you approach Grey Lake, the immense Grey Glacier comes into view, with blue icebergs floating across the lake and the Southern Patagonian Ice Field stretching into the distance.
