Time to Explore the City 

Today, discover the many faces of Lima on a family-friendly tour that combines the city’s modern districts with its fascinating colonial heritage. Begin in Miraflores and San Isidro, where contemporary architecture, green spaces, and coastal views showcase Lima’s modern side. Continue towards the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, passing landmarks such as the Museum of Italian Art, Palace of Justice, Museum of Lima, and Plaza San Martín.

Explore the historic center on foot, with the Main Square as your starting point. Admire the Government Palace, Cathedral, and Archbishop’s Palace before visiting the Convent of Santo Domingo, an important religious and historical landmark that houses the relics of three Peruvian saints: Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martín de Porres, and San Juan Macías.

The experience continues at the Rafael Larco Herrera Museum, home to one of Peru’s most important collections of pre-Hispanic art, with nearly 45,000 pieces representing ancient cultures, particularly the Mochica civilization. Today, discover the fascinating history of ancient Peru on a family-friendly visit to the Inkariy Museum, located between Pisac and Urubamba in the Sacred Valley.

Through modern exhibitions, life-size recreations, detailed scale models, and archaeological artifacts, the museum brings the country’s most important pre-Hispanic civilizations to life. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome snack while taking in the scenery. After a short stretching session and a briefing on paddling techniques and safety, you will receive all the necessary equipment before heading onto the water.

Accompanied by an experienced guide throughout the activity, paddle across the calm waters of Piuray Lagoon, which has supplied water to Cusco since Inca times. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and spectacular mountain views as you explore the lagoon from a different perspective.

For those looking for a deeper connection with the surroundings, the experience can also include a breathing session and the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the lagoon’s cool waters.

After the adventure, enjoy a well-deserved lunch before returning to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Full-Day Machu Picchu Experience

Today, embark on one of the most exciting days of your family journey: a visit to Machu Picchu, the legendary Inca citadel surrounded by the spectacular peaks of the Andes.

At the specified time, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the train station. The scenic journey to Aguas Calientes is an experience in itself, with breathtaking views of majestic mountains, the Vilcanota River, and traditional Andean villages along the way.

Today, discover the fascinating contrasts of Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Begin at San Pedro Market, where the colorful stalls offer an authentic glimpse into the flavors, products, and everyday traditions of modern Cusco.

Continue to the Koricancha Temple, once an important Inca palace and ceremonial centre dedicated to the Sun God, where Inca and colonial history come together. Then head into the hills above the city to explore Sacsayhuamán, an impressive example of Inca engineering and military architecture, followed by Q’enqo, an archaeological site where important rituals and ceremonies were once performed.

Finish your exploration at the Plaza de Armas, Cusco’s historic main square, where you will admire the city’s magnificent cathedral and surrounding colonial architecture. After the tour, return to your hotel.

Half-Day Chocolate Workshop at Chocomuseo

In the afternoon, enjoy a fun and hands-on chocolate-making workshop at Chocomuseo. Discover the fascinating world of Peruvian cocoa as you learn about different varieties and take part in the process from bean to chocolate.

Roast and grind cocoa beans before mixing them with sugar to create your own chocolate. Then let your creativity take over by choosing from a variety of ingredients, such as coconut, orange peel, chilli, nuts, and dried fruits, to personalise your creation.

At the end of the workshop, taste the chocolate you made yourself and take home a delicious souvenir of your time in Cusco.

Farewell to Peru
